Drug Bust in Capital’s BKK District

Phnom Penh: Three Chinese nationals are due in court, after the Anti-Drug Department raided their BKK condo and seized almost 10kgs of drugs. The trio are slated to appear in the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.

34-year-old Hang Jing was picked up by police on Saturday. Hours later, 40-year-old, Ye Yu Song and 36-year-old Lin Wei, were arrested at their condo in Phnom Penh’s BKK 2 district. The investigation was led by National Police General, Neth Savoeun, and the Deputy of the Anti-Drug Crime Plan, Mak Chito.

The swoop netted more than 6 kilograms of ecstasy and 1 kilogram of methamphetamine and Nimetazepam. More than 600 grams of amphetamine and 200 grams of ketamine were also seized. All in all, just short of 10 kilograms of drugs. The confiscated narcotics will be presented as evidence in the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.
